This light features a diffuser lens which distributes UVltra Violet rays from the the bright 4000 milliwatt fluorescent neon tube!
The UV radiation emitted by this unit is what is commonly referred to as "Blacklight blue" - 100% safe UV-A longwave radiation in the region of 400nm-315nm.
The light from this tube is safe to look at, and will not contribute anything towards a suntan. UV-A is the the stuff that makes things glow - and shows things you don't see under normal lighting.
The high UV output is achieved by the use of an internally generated high voltage source to drive a UV black light fluorescent tube (a much stronger source of UV than either incandescent bulbs or LEDs).
